2nd pick: #3 (Miss Extra) (9-2) - One of four Europeans entered, this French-bred is three for four this year in her native land. A Group 3 winner June 19, she has a flexible style and is a serious threat in her North American debut.
3rd pick: #2 (California Kook) (15-1) - One of two Cal-breds taking on 'open' company, she's an uncoupled barn-mate of 'Laura's Light.' Improving sort has a good post and may hold down a minor award at large odds.
4th pick: #4 (Warren's Showtime) (6-1) - A very consistent state-bred, she's gone 7-4-0-2 on the grass, is a multiple stakes winner, and she defeated 'open' company in a $100K stakes in early March at Santa Anita. Home-bred fires every time out and must be left in the mix.
5th pick: #11 (Guilty) (8-1) - Another French import, no speed type has finished behind 'Laura's Light' all three times they've met. Her outside post is a problem for her style and she'll need a very fast/and or contested pace for anything more than a small slice of this.
