Top pick: #4 (SAWYER'S HILL) (5-1) - The main speed of this group, lightly raced colt has done well on the grass 6-3-2-0 and is 3-2-1-0 locally. He just failed to hold on in the G2 Twilight Derby at this trip on Oct 31st at Santa Anita and has a sold shop at upsetting "California Chrome."
2nd pick: #5 (California Chrome) (4-5) - The Derby and Preakness winner ran huge last out when beaten a "neck" in the $5,000,000 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) on the Santa Anita dirt Nov. 1. He worked fine here on the grass on Nov. 23 and this colt will beat these if he transfers his main track form to the infield.
3rd pick: #3 (Flamboyant) (6-1) - One of two French imports, he was just under a length off of "Sawyer" in the Twilight Derby Oct. 31 and he had a slow break that afternoon. He's gone 9-2-2-3 on the grass and will be racing with blinkers on for the first time.
4th pick: #1 (Talco) (10-1) - The second of the French imports, he was beaten only 1 1/2 lengths in the Twilight Derby and had some serious traffic issues turning for home. He has talent and will offer a square price in the same race exotic bets.
