Top pick: #7 (LET THE GIRL GO) (4-1) - Heavily bet in her debut at Los Alamitos July 3, she rallied while wide to finish 3rd of eight, beaten just under a length. Home bred can take this with normal second out improvement.
nd pick: #2 (Bella Breeze) (3-1) - Speedy filly opened a big lead, but tired during the long stretch run at Los Alamitos July 5 to finish a distant 2nd. It came at a higher tag, and while four lengths back of the winner, she was almost 12 clear of the 3rd place finisher. Grey filly drops, gets a rider up-grade, and is an obvious win candidate.
rd pick: #5 (Lady Regina) (4-1) - Unraced since March 29 of 2014, filly finished 2nd of five, beaten almost eight lengths that day facing tougher. On the sidelines since, she's working steadily, takes a big drop, and is in the Baffert barn (29% off of long layoffs, and 23% second time out).
th pick: #13 (Scatchmeifyoucan) (10-1) - Speedy filly has raced since early October. She's tired badly in all three starts, but has some impressive works on view for her comebacker.
th pick: #11 (Matter of Luck) (8-1) - Lightly raced filly chased and tired to finish a distant 3rd facing tougher June 28. Only her second start, blinkers go on, and she can factor with some improvement.
