Bet down to 6-5 favoritism that afternoon, she worked fast from the gate here Aug. 1 and gets top billing.
2nd pick: #7 (DiscoTale) (7-2) - The probable favorite, she rallied to finish second here facing Calif. bred $50K claimers July 22. It was a much-improved effort off here June 29 debut and she's an obvious threat.
3rd pick: #10 (Portal Creek) (9-2) - She chased and tired late to check in third of six, beaten 6.5 lengths here at this level and distance July 19. Filly has worked since and her outside post in this rather pace-less field is a plus.
4th pick: #9 (Lucille) (8-1) - Away slowly in both starts, daughter of 'Munnings' was bet heavily in each. Trainer Tim McCanna adds blinkers and has her dropping 5 lbs. A major player if she breaks with her field.
