Top pick: #9 (SALT POWER) (6-1) - Price play raced evenly here at this level going 6-furlongs on July 18th in her first since late Aug. of 2013. Home bred probably needed that race and trainer Vann Belvoir brings her back quickly for this attempt.
nd pick: #8 (Justa Splash) (3-1) - Grey gelding cost $410k in April of 2013 and raced rather poorly when debuting in late March at Santa Anita facing special weight foes. On the sidelines since, trainer Bob Baffert drops him way down in class for his return. An obvious win candidate and the probable favorite.
rd pick: #7 (Warrensbrotherbill) (10-1) - He's been competitive of late and he's stretching out a furlong for this attempt. Longshot can grab a share with a late rally.
th pick: #6 (Berlusconi) (5-1) - He had some promise back in the summer of 2012 but has only raced once in almost two years. His works are fine and gelding hails from a capable barn (Kristin Mulhall).
th pick: #5 (lay It On.) - He enters off a career best and no-speed type could get a minor award with just a bit more improvement.
