He's worked since, moves up just a bit while shortening up a 1/2 furlong, and he gets a slight edge today.
2nd pick: #8 (Livin On Prayer) (7-2) - Lightly raced gelding has some early speed and is cutting back in distance after tiring Oct. 28 going 8.5 furlongs at Santa Anita. He's racing third back following almost a seven-week break, draws a good post today, and he should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #2 (From the Distance) (12-1) - Longshot tired after dueling for the lead while between horses going 5.5 furlongs Nov. 2 at Santa Anita. It followed several good efforts facing tougher, and he races today without blinkers after four starts with the hood in place.
4th pick: #9 (Gryffindor) (8-1) - No speed type rallied to finish 2nd here at this level and distance July 21, but has raced evenly in his follow up pair without threatening. A fast and/or contested pace would aid his late running style.
