She broke sharply, dueled through fast fractions while between horses, then weakened in the final 1/8th to finish 3rd. She's worked three times since, switches to the turf, and shortens up to 5 furlongs.
2nd pick: #7 (Data Storm Kitty) (4-1) - Very fast from the gate, she set the pace at this level and distance Aug. 22 at Del Mar before tiring to finish 4th. Working both frequently and quickly for her return, I almost made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #3 (Objective) (7-2) - Home bred by 'Super Saver' makes her debut in this difficult spot. Originally prepared at the Fair Hill Center in Maryland, she's been at Santa Anita for the past three weeks. She may grab a share if ready.
4th pick: #1 (Apples Arch) (5-1) - Another of the fillies from the O'Neill barn, she tired late while wide going 6.5 furlongs Oct. 19 at Santa Anita. It was a big improvement off her Sep 3 debut and $150,000 daughter of 'Arch' is dangerous from her inside post in this 5-furlong sprint.
