Top pick: #7 (BATTLE OF EVERMORE) (5-2) - The probable favorite, he rallied to finish third of 10, beaten a length going 6-furlongs on the main track July 26th. Excellent debut and trainer John Sadler has worked him three times. He should love the surface switch and the longer distance.
nd pick: #5 (Spin Forty) (10-1) - Colt raced evenly when debuting on the Los Alamitos dirt July 12th. He's worked very fast since, presumably with the blinkers that trainer Mark Glatt adds today. Bred for this mile trip and a threat at a square price.
rd pick: #2 (Secreto Primero) (12-1) - He debuted in the same July 26th race as "Evermore" and raced evenly while between horses while finishing four lengths back of that rival. Working fast since, he's another going longer with the hood added.
th pick: #1 (Harmonic) (7-2) - Colt made up some ground in his debut following a rather poor start. He draws the rail, is from the Hollendorfer barn, and Mike Smith stays put.
th pick: #10 (Pioneerof the West) (8-1) - Colt draws a tough outside post but has a fine series of local works dating back to mid-July. In a top barn (Mark Casse) and a threat if he can avoid a wide trip.
