Top pick: #5 (PRINCESS ASH) - Speedy filly is one of two entered by trainer Bob Baffert and the pair race uncoupled. Daughter of "Indian Charlie" set the pace and held gamely to finish 2nd at this level at Hollywoo Park on July 5th. Race was her first since late November and has since come back with a trio of blazing works. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #9 (Catienus Gold) - Longshot makes her first start after shipping here from Louisiana and joining the barn of Jeff Bonde. Heavily bet in both her starts, she's shown good speed and is working fast for her first start since early June. Bonde adds both lasix and blinkers and she could factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #4 (Golden Production) - Filly raced close up and held to finish 3rd, just over two back of "Ash" at Hollywood on July 5th. She's run well in both appearances and should do so again today.
4th pick: #12 (My Bashert) - Filly draws a good post for her speed/stalking style and is working fast for her first race since late November. Only 2 1/2 back of "Ash" at Santa Anita in Oct and a factor if ready.
