This filly chased a quick pace and held gamely to finish second when debuting here at this level going six furlongs July 19. Bet down that afternoon, she's been working fast since and will be very tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #6 (Hot Blooded Girl) (9-2) - The second of the Baffert fillies, daughter of 'Tapit' has been freshened up since finishing third at this level and distance May 29 at Santa Anita. Away slowly that day, she's working very fast and $330,000 purchase looks set for a big effort.
3rd pick: #7 (Anonymity) (7-2) - $600,000 daughter of 'Tapit' makes her belated debut this afternoon. Working way above average, she's in a patient barn (Rick Mandella) and he normally likes to give them one or two before asking them for their best. However, he had a debuting maiden score a week ago, proving their are exceptions to every rule.
4th pick: #9 (Phantom Proton) (5-1) - Filly rallied strongly to miss by a 1/2 length when debuting at this level and distance. However, that was Oct. 28 and she's been on the sidelines since. Working fast, she draws a fine outside post at this trip and is a stretch threat if ready.
