Top pick: #7 (SO BRILLIANT) (7-2) - He's one of two entered by trainer Bob Baffert and we like both of their chances. This lightly-raced grey colt is 3-for-5 overall and has never finished worse than fourth. He ran a career best when winning in late June at Hollywood and is training fast locally for this attempt.
2nd pick: #8 (Roman Threat) (5-2) - The second of the Baffert pair, he hasn't raced since winning the "Los Angeles" hdcp. (G2) at Hollywood on May 28th of 2012. Training very fast for his return and he fired fresh twice in the past. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Ain't No Other) (10-1) - Veteran is back in shape following a pair of layoffs and he has an outstsnding record on synthetic surfaces at 8-3-1-4. Strong finisher should get a fast pace to rally into, and he'll be a nice price.
4th pick: #9 (Chiloquin) (4-1) - Consistent sort moves up in class after finishing second here facing a tough group on July 25th. Working fast for this stakes and he can be a big factor if he avoids a wide trip.
