Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Run Away) (8-5) - He's won four of five starts and finished a pace chasing third here in the G1 Del Mar Futurity at this distance in his only loss. Working above average and two three time stakes winner is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Beautiful Shot) (5-2) - Strong finisher has won both starts in come-from-behind style. He rallied past a tiring 'Mourinho' last out at Santa Anita and should like the additional furlong he travels today.
4th pick: #6 (Italiano) (8-1) - He went gate-to-wire to break his maiden going 6 furlongs at Santa Anita Oct. 21. He's worked twice since and the Hollendorfer barn brings him back quickly for this attempt. It's a plus that Mike Smith stays aboard.
