Stakes placed filly finished a close up third facing tougher on the local turf Aug. 13 in her first start since June 17. Stalker can win this if she can avoid a wide trip from her outside post.
2nd pick: #6 (Knk's Dolce Vita) (5-1) - One of several that are lightly-raced and fast from the gate, she's moving from turf to dirt and is stretching out in distance. Competitive in all four starts, she's working fast, fits on figures, and has plenty of room for upside.
3rd pick: #8 (That's a Lady) (8-1) - Longshot tired here at this level and distance Aug. 9 in a race common to several others entered in this contest. She seems much better when trying to come from off the pace and can factor if hat strategy is used today.
4th pick: #4 (Utana) (10-1) - Another longshot, 4-year-old made a sweeping move last out but she tired late while beaten just over five lengths. She's worked fast since and daughter of 'Curlin' still has room for upside.
