Bet down to favoritism in her first pair, she improved when switched to the grass last out. Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer has her training fast, and the addition of the 'hood' gives her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Notorious Nicole) (7-2) - Another with some speed, $350K daughter of 'Candy Ride' improved when switched to the grass Oct. 11th at Santa Anita. She breaks just off the inside, and expect her to be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #8 (Award It) (4-1) - Unlike the top pair, this filly lacks any early speed. However, she's made up good ground during the stretch run in both her starts. Beautifully bred, trainer Rick Mandella adds both blinkers and Lasix to this daughter of top sire 'Tapit.'
4th pick: #7 (Mokat) (8-1) - Freshened up since her debut here Sept. 6th, trainer Rick Baltas moves her to the turf and stretches her out in distance. She raced evenly in her dirt debut, and filly by 'Uncle Mo' can factor at a square price.
