Top pick: #1 (BATTLE OF EVERMORE) (7-2) - Colt by "Scat Daddy" has been competitive in all his start 3-0-1-2 and last out finished second of 10, beaten a length on the famous "down the hill" turf course at Santa Anita Oct. 10. A career best, it came off almost an eight week break and was his first ever on the grass. Has the rail and is the horse to beat.
nd pick: #5 (Kenjisstorm) (10-1) - Price play has raced evenly in his first pair, one each on dirt and "poly." Both of those had tough fields and this colt by "Stormy Atlantic" is bred to like the grass.
rd pick: #7 (Smuggler Union) (4-1) - He has talent, but has been a handful for his rider in both starts. Gelding is stretching out in distance and trying the lawn for the first time. Working nicely and he must be left in the mix.
th pick: #2 (Selection) (8-1) - He's improved in both starts since his debut and last out finished third at this level and distance on the Santa Anita dirt Oct. 4. Working well since and most by "Candy Ride" enjoy the turf.
th pick: #6 (Rock Shandy) (12-1) - He ran evenly after "hopping" at the start when debuting in the same grass race that "Evermore" exits. He's worked fast since and can factor at a big price with an alert break.
