2nd pick: #4 (Malware) (10-1) - Longshot is stretching out in distance and racing on the grass, both for the first time. Heavily bet in her first two sprinting on the Santa Anita dirt, she tired late in both after being involved in pace duels. Bred to handle the turf, she's a threat on the lead at a big price.
3rd pick: #7 (Shehastheritestuff) (5-2) - The morning line and probable favorite, she rallied to finish third after a ground-saving trip at this level and distance June 18 at Santa Anita. She was in front of 'Warm Endowment' at the finish, but had been behind her in er previous start. An obvious contender.
4th pick: #6 (California Sunshine) (3-1) - Speedy filly finished a pace-setting second at this level and distance on the Santa Anita dirt July 1. A career best, it was her first appearances in eight months. Trainer Neil Drysdale brings her back quickly and has Bejarano aboard for the first time.
