Top pick: #3 (MY PALMILLA) (5-1) - Filly makes her debut off of some good looking works. Initially prepared at Los Alamitos, trainer Mark Glatt has had her at Santa Anita since mid-June. Daughter of 'Tribal Rule' breaks just off the rail and can take this if she runs to her a.m. drills.
2nd pick: #5 (Late' n Left) (7-2) - Home bred is by 'California Chrome's' sire 'Lucky Pulpit.' She raced close to the pace when debuting at Santa Anita June 25 and held the place spot to a good looking winner. Trainer Mike Puype has worked her since and she's an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Allicanto) (12-1) - She sold for three months ago for $125,000 as a 2-year-old in training. Training about average, she has the rail and Bejarano is signed on. May impact at long odds.
4th pick: #4 (California Song) (6-1) - Grey filly is one of two entered by trainer Pete Miller. She runs off a pair of sharp back-to-back half-mile breezes and Miller is capable first out (16%).
