Top pick: #6 (TRIBAL ROAR) (4-1) - He was very hard to handle in his well backed debut July 5 at Los Alamitos. Colt by 'Tribal Rule' raced close up while rank and tired in what has turned out to be a strong group. Working well since, he's dropping in class and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Counterplay) (3-1) - He improved last out when blinkers were added by trainer Vann Belvoir. Gelding set a pressured pace and tired late to finish 3rd racing here at this level. He draws a much better post today and should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #4 (Rincon) (12-1) - Longshot showed some speed last out, but tired badly and was almost 10 lengths behind 'Counterplay.' Barn (Ed Freeman) gets some winners at this meet, and they're always big prices.
4th pick: #1 (If You Dream) (6-1) - One of five making their debuts, he has the rail and some better than average works on view. Grey colt can factor with an alert break.
