Top pick: #7 (SCATAJAWEA) (6-1) - Filly rushed up following a poor start and tired when debuting at Santa Anita for a $50K tag on Oct. 30. She had a tough rail post in a large field (12) and the effort was fine under the circumstances. She's worked fast since, moves out in the gate, and trainer Mike Puype drops her in class.
2nd pick: #13 (Victoria Falls) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, filly is anchored on the also-eligible list and needs one scratch in the main body to compete. Well backed in her debut here at this tag two weeks ago she rallied strongly to finish second following a slow getaway. An obvious win threat if she draws in.
3rd pick: #12 (Where Is My Mind) (9-2) - Filly chased a quick pace and tired late while holding down the show spot here at this level on Nov. 13. It was a nice improvement over her debut and came with blinkers added.
4th pick: #1 (Albany Candy) (5-1) - Dizney home bred is one of three fillies making their debuts. Daughter of "Candy Ride" has the rail, is working steadily, and is from a capable first out barn (Bob Hess Jr. 18%).
