Top pick: #6 (RED N BLACK ATTACK) (7-2) - He's been freshened up since a sharp win on the Santa Anita dirt at this distance on June 8th. Claimed that day by Vann Belvoir for $25K, he has him working well locally and the new trainer wins at a 24% off the claim.
2nd pick: #5 (Crux) (5-1) - Well bred gelding has sharp early speed and was a maiden winner last out at Los Alamitos. Trainer Ron Ellis has him well-spotted in his first facing winners and this 3-year-old by "Congrats" is a threat if he handles the all-weather surface.
3rd pick: #4 (Rocked Twice) (4-1) - Colt has run well in his last four starts, the most recent three following a John Sadler claim. Speedy Arizona-bred fits on several angles and unlike the top two selections he's won on a "poly" surface in the past. A strong contender.
4th pick: #7 (Skydreamin) (12-1) - Longshot has early speed and is working fast for his second start following nine month layoff and he draws a nice outside post to gun from. Has a shot at a big price if he clears off at the break.
