Stalker missed by a 'head' in her grass debut there Feb. 3 and looks set for her maiden win.
2nd pick: #1 (Take a Leap) (6-1) - Daughter of 'The Factor' is one of a pair in here from trainer Jeff Mullins. $100K purchase had some traffic issues when beaten 3.5 lengths here at this level and distance Aug. 9 and I like the fact that she's brought back in 16 days for this attempt. She has a ground-saving post and should be competitive at a square price.
3rd pick: #8 (Madaket Sunset) (4-1) - The second of the D'Amato trained pair, $210,000 purchase did not break cleanly before racing evenly when debuting here in a dirt sprint Aug. 4. Barn switches her to the grass while stretching her out in distance and she's bred to do both.
4th pick: #4 (K P Pergoliscious) (8-1) - The second filly from the Mullin's barn, Irish bred moves up in class after rallying to finish third here at this distance Aug. 9 racing for a $62,500 claiming price. It was her first ever on the grass, by far a career best, and she gets a huge rider upgrade to Drayden Van Dyke.
