Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (R B EYE) (2-1) - Grey gelding enters off a second place finish at this claiming price and distance Oct. 19 at Santa Anita. Speed/stalker has worked three times since and trainer Vann Belvoir has Flavien Prat replacing Evin Roman.
2nd pick: #5 (Anvil Rock) (4-1) - He's switching back to the dirt after a troubled start for a $50K tag on the Santa Anita turf Nov. 4. No-speed type was racing first off a Tom Bell III claim and a subsequent 9-week break that day and gelding had some serious early traffic issues. He'll be making up ground late and is a serious threat in a rather poor field.
3rd pick: #2 (Irish Polo) (5-1) - Dizney home bred was never involved after bobbling at the break when debuting in a Santa Anita sprint at this tag Nov. 4. Trainer Peter Miller brings him back quickly, stretches him out in distance, and gives him a big rider upgrade to Drayden Van Dyke. Look for a much better effort with the changes.
