Premium Pick

Top pick: #6 (MEMPHIS) (3-1) - Very quick from the gate, gelding has won two in a row one each on dirt and "poly". Six-year-old went wire-to-wire here going 6-furlongs for a $16k tag just one week ago and was claimed by Bob Hess Jr. New trainer is having a good meet and brings this new claim back quickly. The horse to beat.

2nd pick: #3 (Luckbox Sam) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, he's been sharp in all three starts since coming off a two month break on Aug. 1. He's going turf to "poly" and shortening up in distance in this spot. Four-year-old has gone 10-2-1-2 on synthetic surfaces in the past and is a win candidate.

3rd pick: #4 (Lucky Views) (4-1) - Lightly-raced gelding by "California Chrome's" sire "Lucky Pulpit" was a bit "rank" on the Santa Anita grass racing at this level on Oct. 19. It was his first in almost 7-months and he probably needed the effort. He's one for one on "poly" and this stakes placed 3-year-old must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #5 (Relentless Heat) (8-1) - Longshot is the field's most experienced runner at 28-4-7-3, but has a poor record on synthetic surfaces 8-0-1-1. Freshened up for the past 7-weeks he fits with his best and will be a square price.
