One run type is racing third back off a pair of layoffs and has a pair of sharp half-mile works here heading into this attempt.
2nd pick: #4 (Warren's Joe T) (7-2) - Another veteran, once classier gelding moves up in class and switches from turf to conventional dirt. 5yo has only one win on dirt, but his ability to be on the lead or just off of it is s big plus in this field.
3rd pick: #6 (Accelerant) (10-1) - Speed/stalker has good early speed and is racing first off a Tim Yakteen claim. 8yo was 8 1/2 back of 'Carlot Cowboy' last out, but think he'll be competitive at a square price this afternoon.
4th pick: #7 (Can't Do the Danse) (4-1) - The main speed, he ships from Golden Gate Fields for his first since Sept. 3rd and first off a Jon Wong claim. Working fast, he won on the Sacramento dirt at this tag and trip July 23. Must be left in the mix.
