3rd pick: #10 (Apache Princess) (7-2) - She has early speed, is bred for the grass, and drops back in with maidens after tiring going 7 furlongs on the dirt at Santa Anita Nov. 2 in a $200K stakes for fellow Calif. breds. Daughter of 'Unusual Heat' can factor if able to avoid a wide trip.
4th pick: #5 (Twirling Diamond) (15-1) - Longshot tired after chasing a quick pace when debuting in a 5.5-furlong dirt sprint Oct. 27 at Santa Anita. She broke back quickly, switches to the grass, and is stretching out in distance.
