2nd pick: #2 (Midnight Lady) (2-1) - Classier type drops and is working well at Santa Anita for her first since late August. She's another who enjoys "poly" (7-2-1-2) over dirt and is dropping down to a new low for this attempt. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Jetbird) (10-1) - Speed/stalker is moving up in class following a solid third-place finish at Santa Anita when racing for an $8,000 tag just nine days ago. Grey filly had some promise at one time but her career has been highlighted by several layoffs since that time. Her speed gives her a shot at a square price.
4th pick: #4 (Warren's Gussie) (5-1) - No-speed type rallied into a quick and contested pace to finish third at this level at Santa Anita Oct. 10. Rounding to form following a long layoff (15 months), but she'll need a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a small slice.
