Top pick: #8 (FIELD REPORT) (5-2) - Gelding comes into this off a second-place finish at this level and distance racing at Hollywood on June 28th. Solid effort came off a pair of layoffs and it's nice to see veteran Bill Spawr brings him back quickly and this professional stalker draws outside of the speed types.
2nd pick: #7 (Door's Open) (7-2) - Very lightly raced gelding has been freshened up since pressing a quick pace and tiring late facing state-bred first-level allowance foes. Trainer Vlad Cerin has him working fast for his return and he fits with his best.
3rd pick: #2 (Free Time) (6-1) - Speedball was a gate-to-wire winner for a $25K tag at Hollywood Park on June 16th in what was a career best performance. In shape, breaks just off the rail, and he should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #4 (My Slew) (6-1) - Un-raced since Jan. 4, he's working fast for this, has talent, and is capable of impacting if ready to fire his best shot.
