Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (CHIPPER) (4-1) - He was competitive in both dirt sprints last Fall at this level while earning good figures for a 2yo. On the sidelines since Dec. 1, he's working fast and is switching to turf for the first time. Flavien Prat stays aboard and I think this gelding can win this, if ready.
2nd pick: #2 (Coalinga Road) (7-2) - Another returning from a layoff (Jan. 1), he finished 2nd that day sprinting on the Santa Anita turf at this level. Working well above average, trainer Carla Gaines has Umberto Rispoli aboard.
3rd pick: #4 (Master Ryan) (2-1) - One of three older runners entered, he's finished 2nd in three of his last four sprinting on the grass at this level. He has a speed/stalking style and is a strong win candidate as his two main rivals are both coming off lengthy absences.
