Working fast for his return, trainer Bob Baffert stretches him out to a mile for this attempt. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Silver Spirit) (5-1) - Grey 4-year-old has some early speed and has been competitive in both previous tries at this mile distance. He has some issues with the starting gate, but fits on figure and is working well above average for his first since Sept 12.
3rd pick: #6 (Action Hero) (3-1) - Home bred has been freshened up since missing by a 1/2 length at this level going seven furlongs here Sept 7. A career best, it came off a four month layoff. Anything near the figure earned last out makes him a win candidate.
