Top pick: #10 (SPRING BLOOM) - Filly makes her first start since laste January when she rallied to finish 4th facing state-bred special weights on the Santa Anita grass going two-turns. Working well for her return, trainer John Shirreffs will drop her into a claimer for the first time, cut back in distance, and move to the "'poly'.
2nd pick: #4 (Tiz a Daisey) - Another dropping into a claimer for the first time and she been racing evenly of late facing tougher. Home-bred has been in with some pretty good runners and should find this group easier.
3rd pick: #1 (Salty Forecast) - Filly runs first off a Pete Miller claim and he brings her back at the purchase price a month later and with blinkers on. Daughter of "Salt Lake" has the rail and can factor with an alert break.
4th pick: #11 (Rich in Tradition) - Trainer Raf DeLeon originally had two entered here but decided to go with this filly. She has some speed, drops back down, and runs 3rd back off a 3 1/2 month layoff.
