2nd pick: #2 (Eastern Ocean) (2-1) - Speed/stalker is clearly improving and enters this off a fine 3rd place finish here facing older rivals at this distance July 24. Colt was just under a length in back of 'Heywood's Beach' May 16 at Santa Anita and is a win candidate today.
3rd pick: #1 (Tripoli) (6-1) - A lightly raced son of 'Kitten's Joy,' he sold for $450,000 as a yearling back in Sept. of 2018 at Keeneland. He broke his maiden sprinting on the Santa Anita turf June 14, then had a wide trip when almost five lengths in back of 'Eastern Ocean' here July 24. He moves to the rail in this one and is in the mix at a square price.
