Top pick: #6 (UNUSUAL DARLING) - Freshened-up since June 7th, filliy has a pair of fine local driils showing and will be dropping to a new low in price. Her trainer (Jeff Mullins) is doing well here and last out this 3-year-old was competitive at Hollywood when facing a bit tougher.
2nd pick: #10 (Freckles Galore) - "Freckles" has been competitive in five of her last six starts and has enough positional speed to not let this outside post hurt her chances. Home-bred ran second on this surface at this price July 18th and that valuable experience is a big plus.
3rd pick: #4 (Lady Shazzam) - Home-bred raced evenly facing tougher sprinting on the Hollywood lawn July 14th in her first start since debuting in late May of 2011. Drops dow, goes turf to "poly", and she'll be stretching out in distance. Sadler-trained filly is making back-to-back starts for the first time.
4th pick: #5 (Itsphun) - Races third back off a brief break and trainer Matt Chew will add blinkers and stretch her back out in distance. She's been competitive in three of her five starts and will be a nice price.
