Top pick: #3 (LAYTON REGISTER) (9-2) - Strong finisher rallied to finish third here early in the meet and trainer Phil Oliver ships him back from Keeneland where he's been working nicely on the "poly" there. The type that never tires, and he just missed the last time he raced at this 1 1/8th trip.
nd pick: #4 (Corinthian Song) (4-1) - Grey colt comes off a career best when he finished second here at this level on July 28th. He was a 1/2 length better that "Register" that day and has worked fast since. Win candidate.
rd pick: #1 (Cervaro) (7-2) - One of two entered by the Sadler barn, lightly-raced son of "Lemon Drop Kid" has made up good ground in his last pair and is working fast for his second off a seven month layoff.
th pick: #5 (Power Ped) (8-1) - Stretch out sprinter has dangerous early speed and is bred to love both the trip and the grass. Working fast, and is a "live" longshot.
th pick: #6 (Carrytheteam) (12-1) - Longshot is the second of the Sadler pair and is working nicely for his first ever around two-turns and first ever on the turf. $475K yearling has Bejarano aboard and may factor at a big price.
