Home bred by 'War Front' has eight published local drills since July 18, including a bullet half-mile from the gate Aug. 3. Looks all set if he runs to his a.m. works.
2nd pick: #10 (Fortnite Dance) (8-1) - Grey colt moves up in class, stretches out in distance, and switches from dirt to grass. Claimed last out by Patrick Gallagher for $80K, he has early speed and has been competitive in both dirt sprints. An interesting longshot.
3rd pick: #5 (Alleva) (7-2) - Colt set a pressured pace and held gamely to finish 2nd of 12, beaten a 1/2-length while racing here at this level and distance July 28. An obvious contender today with a repeat of that effort.
4th pick: #6 (More Ice) (8-1) - Even paced last out, he was just under two lengths in back of 'Alleva' at the finish. He's worked four times since and should factor at a square price in this one.
