He has some early speed and was competitive last winter/spring in three straight at Santa Anita. Barn drops him to a new low and he can take this if ready.
2nd pick: #8 (Adair) (5-2) - The second of the D'Amato maidens, colt is the fields only first-time starter. Working steadily since mid-September, barn has worked him three times here in the past 19 days after initially preparing him at San Luis Rey Downs. He need not be anything special to factor against this weak looking crew.
3rd pick: #5 (Financial) (5-1) - NEW gelding is racing off a seven week freshening and is shortening up in distance. He ran evenly last out at this tag going 8.5-furlongs at Santa Anita Oct 10. His previous sprint race makes him a strong factor if it's repeatable.
4th pick: #3 (Spirit World) (7-2) - Very lightly-raced gelding rallied to finish a distant second here at this tag going 5.5-furlongs Nov 6. It was a solid effort and the additional furlong he travels today is in his favor.
