Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (CAISSON) (5-2) - A regally bred colt, this debuting son of 'War Front' sold for $340,000 as a yearling last Sept. at Keeneland. He's worked a half-dozen times since June 12, the latest a six-furlong local bullet in 1:13 flat July 16. Hall of Famer Rick Mandella has him ready with Flavien Prat, 16-5-4-1 so far at the meet, aboard.
2nd pick: #4 (Ingest) (6-1) - Reddam homebred switches from dirt to turf while stretching out in distance. Colt showed improvement in his second start, has early speed, and should be involved from gate-to-wire.
3rd pick: #5 (Big Talker) (9-2) - A debuting homebred, he's from a solid family of turf runners, and it's always of note when Mike Smith gets aboard a first-time-starter.
4th pick: #7 (Flint Stroll) (5-1) - He ships from Ellis Park where he raced both wide and evenly when missing by just under four lengths debuting at this level and distance July 4. Colt runs off a private trainer change to Phil D'Amato, and he had him breeze a half-mile here July 21.
