Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (GUNSLINGER) (9-5) - Freshened up since May 29, gelding is working steadily is moving from grass to dirt. All of his best races have been on conventional dirt and he was a winner here almost a year ago in his only previous local appearance on the main track.
2nd pick: #4 (Far Out Kailee) (2-1) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old returns today from a two-month break. Trainer Rich Baltas has him working fast, drops him down in class, and removes his blinkers following a two-race experiment. A very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Warren's T Baze) (5-2) - He rallied to finish fourth when going six furlongs at this tag June 11 at Santa Anita. It was his first race in seven months and it was probably nothing more than a conditioning effort. He's worked fast twice since and his connections are stretching him out in distance.
