2nd pick: #6 (Mint Julep Taffy) (5-2) - She's dropping into a claimer for the first time after tiring last out facing tougher. Filly has fine early speed, a pair of sharp recent works, and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Gusto's Gal) (4-1) - Home bred recovered to finish a distant third following some early traffic issues when debuting here for a $30K tag July 29. Useful debut and trainer Dave Hoffmans brings her back quickly while adding blinkers.
4th pick: #2 (One Putt Par) (6-1) - Freshened up since late June, filly finished an even third in her first pair. Bet down to favoritism in both, she attracted Russell Baze to ride her in both starts upstate. Must be left in the mix.
