Top pick: #8 (ESCAPE ARTIST) (4-1) - In shape gelding by "Tiznow" ships from Saratoga where he finished fast to miss by a 1/2 length going 7 furlongs for a $35K tag. Steady sort was claimed that day by Randy Morse and he has him nicely spotted today and 4-year-old draws a great outside post at this "flat" (one turn) mile.
2nd pick: #2 (Saint X) (5-2) - Speedy colt tackles winners after breaking his maiden on Aug. 11 at Ellis Park at this distance. Working well since and colt has run well here in the past. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (A.P.Indian) (3-1) - The field's "wild card," he broke his maiden in impressive fashion when debuting in a 6-furlong sprint at Delaware park last Oct. Un-raced since, he has a new trainer (George Arnold III) and colt by "Indian Charlie" is a major thret if ready.
4th pick: #3 (Soul Winner's Fire) (6-1) - No-speed type broke his maiden on the Indiana Downs turf on July 29th and this son of "Congrats" is working nicely for his first facing winners. In a top barn (Ken McPeek) and a stretch threat.
