Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (DESSERT HONEYS) (7-2) - This optional-$100K-claimer/n2x allowance has the look of a stakes event. This filly enters off an easy win at this level and distance Oct. 19 at Keeneland. Stalker showed talent as a 2yo during the Fall of 2017 at Gulfstream and enters off a bullet three-furlong breeze here Nov. 12. She gets a slight edge in this one.
2nd pick: #8 (Mylady Curlin) (2-1) - Very sharp in all three starts, she won her first pair sprinting, then missed by a 'neck' at this distance facing a bit weaker Oct. 21 at Keeneland. Stalker has been working fast since and is a win candidate today.
3rd pick: #4 (Tap Gun) (3-1) - She's won two in a row in easy fashion since trainer Tom Amoss added blinkers. Another speed/stalker, she's been freshened up since Sept. 27, is working steadily, and must be left in the mix today.
4th pick: #6 (Go Google Yourself) (4-1) - Strong finisher stretches back out in distance after missing by a 'head' here in $100K Dogwood Stakes at seven furlongs Sept. 22. She's done well at this longer distance in the past and is a stretch threat in this one.
