Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (TOLEDO) (5-2) - This colt is one of three who have been nominated to the 'Triple Crown' series. A Juddmonte home-bred by 'Competitive Edge,' he's been freshened up since checking in a distant 3rd in the G3 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Feb. 1. The pair in front of him, 'Tiz the Law' and 'Ete Indien,' are both major stakes winners, and this colt is dropping in class, working steadily, and his maiden win came at this distance Nov. 9 at Aqueduct. I like his chances.
2nd pick: #8 (Wrecking Crew) (7-2) - He finished a close-up 3rd in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) at Santa Anita Nov. 1, but has not been nearly as good in his follow up pair. Working fast for his first since March 2, this stalker has gone 3-1-2-0 sprinting, and that's what he's doing today.
3rd pick: #3 (My Man Flintstone) (10-1) - This longshot has good early speed and is working fast for his first since March 14. This son of 'Into Mischief' may lead them a very long way at a big price.
4th pick: #12 (Victory Boulevard) (20-1) - Another longshot, he raced evenly last out at Turfway Park in a nine-furlong stakes March 14. He has an outstanding record on conventional dirt (5-3-2-0), has won at his distance, and is capable of factoring at large odds.
5th pick: #4 (Acre) (12-1) - A home-bred by 'Blame,' he raced evenly when beaten by 3.5 lengths at this level and distance at Gulfstream April 4. It was his first since getting a maiden win at this trip Aug. 17 at Saratoga, and he's capable of getting a share in his second back from the 7.5-month layoff.
