2nd pick: #12 (Nash) (3-1) - Nash ran four straight races at 1 1/6-miles finishing first, third, and second twice. Then this 3-year old colt was cut down to the 1-mile Hot Springs Stakes in the last race and won. He swept past three of his six opponents taking command in the stretch for a breezy five-and-a-half length victory.
3rd pick: #8 (Top Conor) (2-1) - This Chad Brown horse debuted at 1-mile in February and won. He was stretched out to 1 1/8-miles the last time out at Keeneland and didn't fare well. Moving back to 1-mile helps, as does having Jose Ortiz riding.
