Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #11 (ULELE) (3-1) - $300,000 daughter of 'Candy Ride' had a fine debut Oct. 26 at Keeneland. Racing at this level and distance on a sloppy track, she was a bit off the pace after some early traffic problems, made a strong bid turning for home, then stayed on to finish second of 11, beaten 1.5 lengths. Bet down to favoritism that day, she's worked fast since and gets top billing.
nd pick: #12 (Les Biz) (7-2) - She has good early speed and is working fast for her first since Sept. 13. The $335K purchase has been competitive in both starts, one each on dirt and turf. Blinkers are added and she's a win candidate.
rd pick: #1 (Special for You) (10-1) - Longshot tired after chasing the pace when debuting Oct. 24 at Keeneland. She draws the rail for the second straight time and should improve after getting that initial attempt out of the way.
th pick: #10 (Northern Beauty) (3-1) - Away since April 19, home bred missed by a 'neck' that afternoon when debuting in an early season 2yo contest at Keeneland. Both the winner and the third place finisher won their next starts. She enters off a sharp half-mile gate breeze Nov. 17 and is dangerous if ready.
th pick: #8 (Shady Violence) (6-1) - One of five making their debuts, $180K purchase has been working very fast since early Sept. From a good barn (Norm Casse), the filly is in the mix if she runs to her a.m. drills.
