Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (AURELIA GARLAND) (3-1) - This filly is one of two entered by Rodolphe Brisset, and the pair race uncoupled. She was an impressive debut winner sprinting at Belmont May 2 of last year, but was then injured and did not race again until 26 days ago when she finished 3rd here at this level going seven furlongs. She had some traffic issues in the large field in a contest where the daylight winner came back to win a $100K stakes here this past Saturday. The 3yo has unlimited potential, draws the rail in her first around two turns, and I like her chances.
2nd pick: #2 (Impeccable Style) (4-1) - One of a pair from Ken McPeek, she broke her maiden here going seven furlongs Sept. 28. Unraced until Feb. 15, she ran evenly in a G2 at the Fair Grounds in her return Feb. 15, then finished 3rd of 11, missing by just over two lengths at Turfway Park in a $150K stakes March 14. Working fast, this $155K daughter of 'Uncle Mo' should factor.
3rd pick: #3 (Morning Gold) (8-1) - The second of the McPeek trained fillies, she's run well on the grass, but poorly here last Sept. in her only previous attempt on the dirt. Working very fast for her first since Nov. 20, she's a threat at a big price if ready.
4th pick: #4 (Elusive Molly) (5-1) - The field's only multiple winner, and both her victories came in 'off the turf' contests at Gulfstream Park earlier this year. Speed/stalker has blinkers on and is dangerous if she can establish an uncontested lead in the first half-mile.
