Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (VAULT) (10-1) - This longshot broke poorly and raced evenly to finish 4th when going a mile at Oaklawn facing weaker. Speed/stalker was running off a five-month layoff, has worked well since, and trainer Brad Cox has Joel Rosario aboard. This competitive 4yo has a good shot at a big price.
2nd pick: #8 (She's a Julie) (3-1) - A winner of just over $1,000,000, she's won multiple stakes and scored here at this distance in a G1 in early May of last year. She likes it at Churchill (6-3-1-1) and is training fast at Keeneland for her first since Oct. 6. Mare has won off of layoffs in the past and is a strong win candidate today if ready.
3rd pick: #3 (Awe Emma) (20-1) - Another longshot, she raced evenly when missing by 6.5 lengths in Oaklawn's Apple Blossom Handicap (G1) April 18. Stalker was a good looking winner there in her previous on April 5 facing weaker, and her ability to race near the pace is a plus in this group.
4th pick: #4 (Dunbar Road) (6-5) - The morning line and probable heavy favorite, she's gone 7-4-1-1 to date with her only sub-par effort coming Nov. 2 at Santa Anita in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Distaff (G1). On the sidelines since, she's working steadily, and is an obvious contender, but is no 'lock' at a short price.
