2nd pick: #6 (Thamaan) (5-1) - Gelding hasn't raced since Oct 21 of 2015. Four-year-old cost $350,000 and just missed at Belmont park the last time he was in action. NEW gelding is working fast and is a threat if ready.
3rd pick: #1 (U S Academy) (9-2) - Stalker ships up from Gulfstream where he finished a close up third at this level and distance Sept. 25. It was a career best and came fresh off a two month freshening. He has the rail and is a win candidate.
4th pick: #7 (Trovatore) (12-1) - Indiana Downs invader has finished second in his last pair there. Lightly-raced and well bred, gelding by 'Midnight Lute' can factor at a big price in his local debut.
5th pick: #5 (Bodestar) (15-1) - Stretch out sprinter is trying the grass for the first time. Un-raced since early May, he's working both steadily and above average for his return. May be in front a long ways at a very big price.
