Top pick: #2 (HOT DIXIE CHICK) - Probable heavy favorite lost her debut a year ago on this surface to today's rival "Decelerator" and hasn't lost since. She's four for four since then and that included wins at Saratoga in the G1 "Spinaway" and the G3 "Schuylerville". Daughter of "Dixie Union" won her seasonal debut at Oaklawn and she's clearly the horse to beat in this G3 stakes.
2nd pick: #4 (Decelerator) - As mentioned above she defeated "Chick" last May when both were debuting and she's had a pretty solid career since then. Speed/stalker is particularly fond of this surface (4-2-2-0) and she could prove a very tough opponent with her best.
3rd pick: #7 (Viscavis) - Lightly-raced filly (4-2-1-0) "broke through" the gate prior to the "Fair Grounds Oaks" (G2) last out and after chasing the pace she backed-up readily. Prior three starts all showed some talent and she's been working nicely for the past month on this surface. Price play in the exotics.
