Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (SEVEN AND SEVEN) (5-1) - He's one of many in this contest that is taking big drops in class. A 3yo by 'Oxbow,' he tired badly last out when going two-turns on the Gulfstream grass March 27. Colt raced close to a very quick pace, while in his previous attempt he checked-in 4th of eight at this trip on Feb. 15. He worked fast at Gulfstream May 10 before shipping here, and I give him a slight edge today.
nd pick: #6 (Tactician) (4-1) - A home-bred by 'Tapit,' this colt finished 3rd of eight, beaten by just over a length going two-turns at the Fair Grounds Feb. 29 for a $50K tag. It was a good effort, his first in a claimer, and he's a win candidate today.
rd pick: #5 (Changing Lanes) (9-2) - This colt has finished 2nd in all three starts, the latest coming when he rallied to miss by a length Nov. 2 at Delta Downs. The 3yo has worked six times at Keeneland since April 11 and is dangerous today if ready.
th pick: #2 (Autumn Jet) (8-1) - A $210,000 NEW gelding by 'Honor Code,' he's been freshened up since early this year when he raced evenly while not competitive in a pair of turf races at the Fair Grounds. Both came against tougher, and he's taking a big drop while switching to the dirt. Trainer Al Stall, Jr. has won with five of 15 (33%) on this drop since Jan. 1 of 2019, and he is at 27% on the turf to dirt change over that same period.
th pick: #11 (Big Biz) (20-1) - Longshot showed some life at Oaklawn April 26 and may get a minor award in this spot, but is not a win candidate.
