Top pick: #1 (LEMON DROP TITLE) (3-1) - Colt has run well in both starts and may have been best at Keeneland April 12th. Going 7-furlongs that afternoon, he had some serious traffic issues down the stretch before finishing third of 11, beaten just under a length. Trainer Dallas Stewart brings him back quickly, stretches him out in distance, and has this home bred making back-to-back starts for the first time. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Langdarma) (10-1) - He enters off a very troubled trip at Oaklawn April 2. Three-year-old by 'Candy Ride' had a rough trip along with some traffic problems while checking in sixth of nine, beaten just over two lengths. He had gone 4-0-2-2 prior to that and has a solid shot at a square price.
3rd pick: #6 (Tinto Mesa) (4-1) - Colt rallied to finish fourth after hopping at the break when debuting in a Gulfstream Park sprint March 28th. Working well since, trainer Todd Pletcher (20% second time out), stretches him out (25%) and has Castellano aboard (30%). Must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #4 (Chivalrous) (6-1) - Four-year-old cost a whopping $1,000,000 back in 2012 and enters off a competitive effort on the Gulfstream turf March 15th. He's shown early speed in both appearances and had a sharp 3-furlong drill here four days ago.
