Competitive in her first pair on the grass, she's worked well on the dirt, and trainer Norm Casse adds blinkers (2 for his last 5 {40%}). He has Ricardo Santana Jr aboard for the first time and I like this one's chances.
2nd pick: #10 (Lady Leah) (6-1) - Well backed in both starts on the grass, she finished second when debuting Sept. 13 at Kentucky Downs, then tired in her follow up Oct. 20 at Keeneland. Home bred draws well and her early speed is a plus.
3rd pick: #1a (Winter Sunset) (4-1) - Debuting daughter of 'Tapit' has worked four times here since Oct. 10 and all have been above average. A pair of those were near bullets and she's from a very good barn (Wayne Catalano).
4th pick: #7 (Holly Molly Dolly) (5-1) - Another making her first start, she's worked a dozen times at Ellis Park since late July. Trainer Wayne Catalano wins at a solid 22% first out and one of his favorite riders (Florent Geroux) is aboard.
